League management changes

Just a bit of business to take care of;

I am resigning from the position of president of the Toronto Pinball League at the end of the current season. I’m announcing it now so that the league can decide how they want to fill that position.

The terms for treasurer and scorekeeper go on until 2016, so they can organize the process. Alternatively, the position could be left vacant till the 2016 elections or if less than 2 candidates step forward, a new president can be named.

I’ll ensure a smooth transition, passing ownership of the topl.ca and topl.org domains. The website is currently hosted on my server, but I will grant ftp access to pull and transfer the site to a new server under league control.

I’ll continue as a member, paying my league fees and continue playing pinball.

Thanks for the opportunity of being part of the league and I look forward to what the future brings.

Chris

  1. This announcement has no effect on regular league play for the foreseeable future. Monday league nights and playoffs will continue as planned, with Luch and I taking care of league operations. In the meantime, we are working on a plan for how to handle the transition, and should have something formulated this week. If anyone has any questions, please get in touch with me directly.

  2. Chris – Thanks for stepping in and taking hold of the presidential reins last season.
    Fresh website, new look…league was moving in a good direction!
    But I guess it wasn’t a good fit – the league for you/you for the league. At least you tried.

    All the best in your new endeavours.

    1. Chris thanks for all the changes you have made to the league under your leadership. You have given this league a fresh new look with this web site and made great strides to improve the league for the better. I thank you for this and am sorry to see you step down from your position.

      As a result I will be making it publicly known that I will be running for the position as president of TOPL. If everyone accepts me in this position I will step down as the president of DRAPL and let someone else handle the position while I try my best to rejuvenate the sport we so dearly love “PINBALL” in a larger capacity.

      As everyone already knows I am building a second floor in my new office location for a pinball facility that can be used to host the Canadian Pinball Championships and eventually an IFPA event. I realize that this will take some time to achieve but I hope to make it a reality in the next few years.

      Thank to Chris again and see you all at my place this Monday.
