Depending on the size of membership it might make sense to have two hosts on league night. We can divide into A & B division. At the end of the season the top 2 or 3 from B division gets moved to A and the bottom 2 or 3 from A division gets moved to B. This will give a chance for newbies and casual players to play against players at the same level while making A more competitive.
Are we still going to keep league play scoring the best 10 out of 15?
no it is as 2014 .12 of 15 , so for 2015 it will be 12 of 15 . mike
Right-for 2015 it works out that we have 3 playoffs, with the last one being in Dec 2015, because we’re starting the season in November 2014. After that, we might drop the number of season weeks to keep 3 seasons per calendar year, which also has the advantage of keeping playoff dates and season start/end dates more consistent. If that happens though, the rules for dropped weeks will still be there, and will likely still be the same proportion as it is now.
Right now it’s 1 of 5 scores gets dropped, so that is 20% of the season (3 of 15). 20% seems like a reasonable number.
