Winter 2019-Scores for week 13

Thanks to Adam for hosting this week!  Scores are up on the PAPA site, and this wraps up the regular season.  This is probably the closest final result we’ve had in a while, but Chris Draper managed to pull off a season victory by one point over Steve Machado.  It’s been a few seasons coming, so congrats to Chris for taking the season championship!  Jason Gillard takes the most improved race this season with an impressive 16% increase, and Jason also takes the handicap trophy.  Congratulations to all the winners!

We’re taking next Monday off for the Easter long weekend, but we’re back to the Player 1 showroom on the 29th for the playoff tournament.  Remember that this tournament is only open to league members.  The format will be similar to the past, 4 match play rounds followed by an elimination bracket for the finals, with groups re-balancing after all four rounds.  We’re adding another variable this time around though, in that the top seed (from the season) in each group gets to choose either game or order for each match play round.  The rules for game selection are that no player can choose the same machine twice (unless nothing else is available), and there’s no waiting for games that are in use.  Game choice goes from high to low seed, so the top overall seed (Chris Draper) gets game choice for the night if he wants it.

Doors open at 6 at P1, and we’re aiming to have food there by 6:30.  Tournament starts at 7:30.  Have a great long weekend, and see everyone on the 29th!

Winter 2019-scores for week 12

Thanks to Nick for hosting this week!  Scores are up on the PAPA site, and Chris Draper is still hanging onto the lead for the season with a 2 point lead on John, who has a 2 point lead on Steve.  There’s only one more week left for regular season, which is up at Adam’s place next Monday.  Then we’re off for a week for the Easter long weekend, and then back for Playoffs at Player One on the 29th.  Have a great week everyone!

winter 2019-scores for week 10

Thanks to Walt for hosting us at Bluffs this week!  Scores are up on the PAPA site, and Chris Draper is hanging onto a 4 point lead for the season.  Jason Gillard is currently leading for most improved, but with 3 weeks left, there’s still room for movement.

We’re at Andy’s place next Monday to play his and Draper’s collection.  Have a great week!

Winter 2019 – Scores for Week 9…

Thanks to Jim for hosting us this week!  The scores are now up on the PAPA site.  Chris Draper is still in the lead, and congratulations to Mike Faria for putting up a perfect round!  With 4 rounds left, the rest of the season looks interesting as the top five are all within 10 points of each other!

Welcome to Dane Gill!  We hope you had a great time, Dane, and look forward to seeing you out at our league nights!

We’re out at Bluffs next Monday!  Have a great week!

Winter 2019-Scores for week 6

Thanks to Adam for hosting this week!  Despite the snow, we still had a good turnout up in Keswick, and hopefully everyone got where they needed to be safely.  Scores are up on the PAPA site, and we’ve got 9 points separating the top 10 players, so things are still reasonably close, but there’s still a lot of season left to play.

We’re back at Nick’s place next week-hopefully we’re past the worst of the winter storms, and we can get back to normal driving conditions for pinball.  Have a great week everyone!

Winter 2019-Scores for week 5

Thanks to Kim for hosting this week!  Sorry that scores are a little late going up, but as you probably noticed, both Newman and I were away last week, which left Luch on his own (although thanks to Myles for helping out with the groups).  Scores are up in the usual place though

Just a reminder that there’s no pinball on Feb 18 because of the Family Day stat.  We’re back on the 25th at Adam’s place.  Have a great long weekend everyone, and see you in a week!

Winter 2019-Scores for week 4

Thanks to Scott and the crew at the Pint for hosting us this week!  Scores are up on the PAPA site.  For those that were wondering, we’ll still be able to finish out this season, since we had an extra couple of weeks at the end of April beyond when we’d normally finish, so cancelling last week didn’t really throw things off.  I thought it might be a possibility, and I’m glad we had the space, since getting up to Nick’s last week would have been challenging.  We’re back up there a couple of times later this season, so no worries there.

We’re back to Kim’s place next week though, and then off the week after for Family Day.  Have a great week everyone!
