Thanks to Nick for hosting the season opener last night! We had a huge turnout this week, with 5 new people coming out for their first league night. Fortunately, Nick’s awesome collection was up to the challenge, and a special thanks goes out to Player One for lending out their Jurassic Park pro for the evening (which certainly got a lot of use through the evening). Scores are up on the PAPA site, and both Dave and Kirk ended up with perfect 28s this week.
We’re out to Jim’s place next Monday, and hopefully we can keep the numbers up for the whole season. Have a great week everyone!
Thanks to everyone for coming out and making the ToPL Summer Playoffs a great evening of competitive pinball to close out the season!
Thanks to Luch for hosting us and providing a good assortment of games! We’re glad that you enjoyed the veal and chicken sandwiches (so much so that we actually ran out of food – apologies to those few that arrived later – we hope the pizza staved off the hunger).
Congratulations to John Flitton, our Season Champion, who also won the A Division Playoffs!
Congratulations to Jason Gillard, our repeat Season Handicap Champion, who takes home the Pinball Wizard Trophy again!
Congratulations to Nick Fattore, this season’s Most Improved Player! Great work Nick!

It is our members and hosts that make the Toronto Pinball League the fantastic fun, social, competitive league that it is, and on behalf of Chris, Luch, and myself, thank you all for being a part of ToPL! We hope you all get as much out of this league as we do!
The new Fall ToPL Season starts on September 9th out at Nick’s great collection in Halton Hills! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Thanks to Jim for hosting the final regular season night of the year! Scores are up on the PAPA site, and John has returned to the top of the league standings with a 28 in the final week. John wins a free entry into next season, as well as taking home the season champ trophy. Jason Gillard also takes home the handicap trophy, as well as a replay for next season. Finally, with an impressive 15% improvement, Nick Fattore takes home the Most improved trophy, as well as a free entry into next season. Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone for making this a great TOPL season!
Next Monday is our end of season playoff tournament at Luch’s place, and it’s open to everyone who’s paid their league fees for this season. Doors open at 6, and we’re aiming to have food there for 6:30. We’re aiming to start the match play rounds by 7:30, and as in previous seasons, we’re going to be doing top 16 in A, and everyone else in B. 4 rounds of Swiss format match play to sort out the strongest players, and then a single elimination bracket for the top 4 on each side. Should be a good time-hope to see everyone there!
Thanks to Andy for hosting this week! Scores are up on the PAPA site, and it looks like John has the season tied up at this point. Nick is sitting at over 17% for most improved right now, and Jason is currently leading the handicapped race.
We’re back to Jim’s next week to finish out the regular season, and then playoffs are at Luch’s place the following Monday. I’m also working on filling the the calendar for the fall, so keep an eye out for dates-we’ll be back to play more right after Labour day!

Tournament entry includes CNE Gate Admission:
Thanks to Kim for hosting this week! Scores are up on the PAPA site, and it looks like a 2 way race between John and Charles for the season championship. Only 2 more regular weeks to go in the season, followed by the playoffs on the 26th at Luch’s place.
There’s no pinball next Monday because of the civic holiday, so have a great long weekend, and good luck to all those going to Pinburgh! We’re back at Andy’s place on the 12th.
With up to $10,000 in cash prizes, the CNE Pinball Competition at the CNE’s Gaming Garage is the BIGGEST local tournament of the summer! The tournament runs from August 16th – 18th with a Main Tournament, Women’s, and Classic Tournaments!

Thanks to Nick for hosting this week, and for getting Oktoberfest from Player One for us to try out! Scores are up on the PAPA site, and a perfect 28 kept JRF on top of the standings this week.
